Perfect summer cocktail. Don’t be misled by the looks. This is NOT a froo-froo drink. Here is my recipe:
Crush 2-4 strawberries in a shaker. Into that shaker, add ice and:
2 oz vodka
1 oz elderflower liqueur
Juice of 1/2 an organic lime
Shake and pour over ice into tall glasses taking care to strain out the strawberry pulp.
2-3 shakes of Peychaud bitters, top off with Fevertree tonic water and stir.
Garnish with mint and enjoy!
Note: The quality of the lime is mighty important. Nothing beats a garden fresh organic lime if you have a tree at home. Or you can try and get some from me or my buddy Pratap Reddy, who also has a very fine lime tree!
